April 2025 Recap: The Inflection Point

April marked a turning point in the evolution of Teneo, not just in terms of features, but in the maturing of our identity. We’ve been building a decentralized data network. Now, we’re scaling into something more powerful: a real-time AI coordination layer powered by autonomous agents. This month’s updates reflect that shift in direction and intention.

Machine ID Now 3x More Rewarding

Machine ID verification is now fully live, and it’s 3x more rewarding. Verified participants saw their Heartbeat Rewards jump from 25 to 75 points. Not only is this a massive increase, it’s also a foundation for trust in a decentralized agent economy. Stronger signals, higher integrity, and better data for the models that rely on it.

To activate your own machine ID: 

1. Connect your wallet and ensure your node is actively running via the Teneo Dashboard.
2. Create a Smart Account – this links your digital identity on-chain.
3. Wait for the Smart Account to initialize – this usually takes a few seconds.
4. Create your Machine ID – this step will mint your unique identifier directly on the peaq network.
5. Done. You can now view and manage your Machine ID in your Teneo Dashboard.

Teneo Academy: New Chapters Released

The Teneo Academy continues to expand, with two new chapters now live. Chapter 5, Your Data, Your Rules, dives into the principles of decentralization and user control. Chapter 6, Why Data Is the Bottleneck of AI, explores how centralized systems limit innovation; and how Teneo unlocks a new model of permissionless, real-time coordination. Both chapters now include interactive quizzes that unlock new community roles.

Teneo Video Challenge: Winners Announced

The Teneo Video Challenge wrapped up with dozens of strong entries. Community members showcased what Teneo means to them through animations, explainers, and narrative-driven clips. Three winners were selected, each receiving Teneo Points, stablecoin bonuses, and a new exclusive Discord role.

First Wave of Teneo Ambassadors

We introduced our first cohort of Teneo Ambassadors. These are advocates who will help grow our mission globally. They’re already translating materials, hosting meetups, and guiding newcomers through the Teneo journey. These are the early leaders of the AI Agent movement.

Roadmap Update: What’s Ahead

Our updated roadmap reflects the shift to intelligent coordination. Upcoming milestones include early testnet access, the Teneo SDK for developers, staking, and gamified leaderboards to track AI Agent performance. We’re building more than infrastructure — we’re shaping incentives for real-time, decentralized cognition.

New Verification Flow: Simpler and Smarter

A fully redesigned verification flow is now live. It provides clearer feedback when users face issues and improves how participants engage with tasks. This upgrade makes Heartbeat completion smoother and strengthens the integrity of our reward system.

The Shift to AI Agents: Teneo Evolves

Teneo is transitioning into a decentralized network of autonomous AI Agents. Each node is now capable of interpreting real-time digital signals from public web platforms and feeding that data into open, permissionless AI systems. This marks a move away from simple data relays, toward coordinated, intelligent behavior at scale.

1.5 Million Machine IDs and Growing

The Teneo network passed 1.5 million active machine ID. This number reflects more than just scale, it’s proof that a decentralized AI network, powered by distributed agents and real-time digital signals, is no longer a theory. It’s happening.

Looking Ahead: May and the Momentum Shift

We’ve crossed an inflection point. April was a declaration as Teneo is becoming the agent layer for permissionless AI, and the network is only getting smarter. In May, we’ll open up early access to testnet, activate new roles, and start surfacing the cognition already flowing through the system. We’re building a new kind of infrastructure, and you’re already part of it.
