Teneo at TOKEN2049 in Dubai
We kicked things off by heading to TOKEN2049 in Dubai — one of the biggest gatherings in the crypto calendar. Across two intense days (April 30–May 1), the team connected with builders, partners, and curious minds from around the world to share our vision for a decentralized AI Agent Network.
The conversations were real, forward-thinking, and energizing — from how Teneo connects real-time, permissionless intelligence, to why that’s essential for the future of AI, DePIN, and beyond. It was another reminder: Teneo sits at the intersection of data, AI, and decentralized systems.
Community-Driven Mascot Challenge
In May, we launched the Teneo Mascot Challenge, inviting the community to visually express the spirit of decentralized AI. The response exceeded expectations, with over 700 submissions ranging from sleek designs to playful concepts. After careful curation, a shortlist was selected and opened up for community voting. This initiative is more than a design exercise, it’s about collective identity and allowing the community to shape how Teneo shows up in the world—a testament to the empowerment Teneo grants to the masses.
We have selected the winning entries, combining community input with team review. Each of the top designs captured a unique angle on Teneo’s mission — from real-time data coordination to decentralized intelligence. The 1st place submission will serve as a creative foundation as we further develop the visual identity of Teneo’s mascot.
Winners were rewarded with Teneo Points, exclusive perks, and the Teneo Creator role — a small way to recognize those helping shape the future of the protocol.

Teneo Academy Chapter 7: AI Agents in the Wild
Our educational series, Teneo Academy, continued with the release of Chapter 7: AI Agents in the Wild. This chapter explores how Teneo Nodes operate as autonomous AI agents—reading, filtering, and structuring real-time data directly from the web. It introduces core ideas like edge-based reasoning, decentralized coordination, and how these agents act as the backbone for a more open and intelligent digital ecosystem.

Welcoming the First Teneo Ambassadors
Teneo officially introduced its first cohort of Ambassadors: a group of active, dedicated community members who embody the values of decentralized AI and open data access. Their role is to help educate, inspire, and grow the network through local engagement, content creation, and advocacy. Their contributions are now being highlighted in a dedicated #ambassadors-showcase channel on Discord.
Promocode Feature Preview
A new Promocode feature has been quietly rolled out on the Teneo dashboard. Currently available to a limited group of users, this feature sets the foundation for upcoming campaigns and reward programs. While there’s no immediate action required, it’s a signal of what’s to come as we expand the ways users can earn and engage with the protocol.
New Blog: Rethinking the Browser with Teneo
In response to reports of OpenAI’s interest in acquiring Chrome, we published a new blog post that looks at what this might mean; and why Teneo offers a fundamentally different approach. The post explains how our network of decentralized AI agents provides real-time access to the public web without the need for centralized browsers, APIs, or data monopolies. It’s a call for infrastructure that is transparent, accessible, and user-owned.
Strategic Alliance with Acurast
This month, Teneo announced a new collaboration with Acurast, a DePIN project focused on enabling computation from mobile devices. Together with Acurast, we’re exploring how thousands of mobile devices could soon power the future of real-time data streams and decentralized intelligence. This partnership represents a major step toward building a real-time, distributed data economy powered by everyday devices.
Teneo Sponsors Futurist Conference in Canada
Teneo was a proud sponsor of Futurist Conference in Toronto, Canada: the country’s longest-running Web3 event. Our team met with leaders from ETH Toronto, Ethereum Women, and other innovative projects working on decentralized technologies. As interest in decentralized AI and data ownership grows, events like these provide space to connect, learn, and collaborate across borders.
Speaking at Machine Economy Day in Abu Dhabi
Our CTO represented Teneo at peaq’s Machine Economy Day, held in Abu Dhabi. As part of a panel discussion, he shared perspectives on how AI agents – run by citizens, not corporations – can help cities and communities make better decisions. From infrastructure to governance, the conversation explored what a machine-driven economy could look like when powered by permissionless intelligence.
